After 12 years apiece in the industry Rod Westerhuis and Aileen Tilley both hold thriving real estate sales businesses. Rod and Aileen launched Huis rentals, the rental arm to Huis Estate Agents and Sales. We’re different as we are not satisfied with the traditional services a property management company provides. We put our clients in touch with extra services such as depreciation schedule reminders, the latest REIQ statistical information and offerings for yield growth, investment growth and tax minimisation.

Huis Rentals is a small organically grown property management group that prides itself on personal service. Now with extra administrative support, Jamie is our in-house professional photographer and graphic designer, Our goal is to provide our owners with the highest rental return together with the best possible tenant. Our current vacancy rate is 0.0%, our current days on market to rent is 17 days. Our current arrears are 0%. These rates are so constant we proudly display our track record. As well as achieving great market returns, Huis Rentals is committed to the on-going monitoring of your investment both in rental collections and physical maintenance to a standard that is a cut above the industry. We do this via regular inspections of your investment, complimented with written and visual reports and tax income statements. Aileen’s 10 year history as a Queensland Police Officer prior to her real estate career has stood her in good stead for this role.

Mould in houses beware....Dear clients and tenants, now is the time to double check your mould in your home, be super vigilant, check behind furniture incase there is something growing ...
MOULD IN PROPERTY:
Tenant's please take responsibility to help prevent mould and dampness in your property Open your windows as often as possible, if you have security screens try to leave the windows slightly open at all times, when you are home, to allow air
flow Open your blinds and curtains to let the sun shine in, daily, bacteria hates sunlight.

Put on all exhaust fans when cooking and showering, open bathroom window Try to keep dust at bay as mould loves to settle on it, wipe off clean Try to keep areas dry; mould and spore grow on dampness.

As often as you can take bedding out into the UV sunlight, UV sunlight eradicates nasties that like to settle in. Especially for babies, take their mattress out into the sun for a couple of hours, very healthy In the bathroom when using hot water always open the window and put fan on.

Wipe down dampness and condensation when you see it A suggestion for cleaning your house is using oil of cloves' you can buy it from the chemist for around $8, it dilutes to a few litres, put it in a spray bottle, you have a lovely fresh
mist, very effective and keeps mould at bay

Put white vinegar in hot clothes washing, this kills bacteria Mould growth that starts on ceilings is due to lack of ventilation, that's why it is important to open
your windows and doors to let moist damp air escape. outside, give down with If you find mould on your possessions in wardrobes take them cupboard them a
wipe cloves Condensation Leave them in the sunlight for awhile. Wipe out with oil of your windows cases mould: to prevent, wipe down condensation immediately, open up and let the sun shine in, and dry it up In winter during the day it is normally warmer outside than in, open up your

So healthy to have fresh air and sunlight in your house you follow these few simple steps, you will keep mould and bacteria at bay, and have a healthy
clean existence.

ALTERNATIVE MOULD CLEANING NATURAL:
Mould Cleaner (Clove Oil) – Natural
Mix Three parts white vinegar one part distilled water
Three drops of oil of cloves and 2 teaspoons of bicarb soda and a squeeze of lemon. Stir and separate batches so you can have one clean batch to finalise job.
Then grab yourself a jug to put the cleaner in and you could use a clean batch to wipe the surface down after you have used the preparation.

MOULD CLEANING HEAVY DUTY TILES/GROUT:
Chlorine or bleach undiluted and left on grout for 1 hour or more will have a dramatic effect. Make sure you have safety gloves and glasses and protect your skin. After a heavy duty lift, make sure you use water to clean all chemical off
your tiled area for best effect.

MOULD CLEANING GYPROCK SURFACES:
1 PART BLEACH. 1 PART SUGAR SOAP TO 1O PARTS WATER. Clean then wipe down with water.
